Artsolutely is an annual artisans show known for being a shopping extravaganza with quality hand-made gifts that can’t be found anywhere else! With works from over 35 local artisans, it’s a one-stop-shop offering something for everyone: pottery, paintings, glass art, jewellery, metal and wood work, fabric arts, natural products, and so much more! Artsolutely invites visitors into a warm and relaxed atmosphere where they can leisurely take in the beauty of local art and shop for those they love. NOFCA Spring Show

The VCAC proudly presents works from the North Okanagan Federation of Canadian Artists.  Each year the NOFCA holds a juried show which features three prize winning paintings, three honorable mentions, and many more extraordinary works from their talented group of local artists.  The quality of works and diversity of art is always a treat for the eyes.

Free for the public. Donations welcomed.

Paws It Forward Meet & Greet

If you're looking for a dog to add to your family, you absolutely need to come to this weekend's Meet & Greet! Paws it Forward Dog Rescue will be here this Saturday, April 29th, from 10am to 2pm, with many of the dogs that are currently available for adoption, and looking for their forever homes. This is a perfect time to get to know the dogs and ask questions about adopting, or fostering. While you're here, you can also check out the "Raining Cats and Dogs" Art Show and Sale, and enter your name into our door prize from Healthy Spot Pet Nutrition & Supply and vote for your favourite art piece for a chance to win a gift voucher from the Arts Centre. Glass Beadmaking Demonstration

Join the Vernon Community Arts Centre at the Sundog Festival and watch local artist Patricia Doyle, dance with the flame! Patricia will be using a torch to turn rods of Italian glass into glass beads and 'squiggles and wiggles'. If you've ever considered taking one of Patricia's classes, but haven't yet signed up, this demo will have you in the studio in no time!

Join us during BC Culture Days for a fun pottery demonstration!

See Sabrina Boulay, a visiting ceramic artist, while she works on a large scale coil pot. Coiling pottery was one of the primary potting methods prior to the development of pottery wheels. Coil pots are sturdy in large forms and have been used for thousands of years across the globe.

Demonstrations will be held at the Vernon Community Arts Centre on Sunday, September 24th between 12:30-1:30pm, and Monday, September 25th, 4:30-5:30pm.

Donations are welcomed and will support future community arts programming.

Handmade Journal Demonstration

Celebrate Culture Days and come for a FREE demonstration on how to create handbound books that can be used for journals, sketchbooks, or zines. Silmara will demonstrate the basics of bookbinding using tools and papers you already have around your home. 

Demonstration will be held at the Vernon Community Arts Centre on Monday, September 25, between 6:30pm-8:30pm.
