The Vernon Community Arts Centre is excited to present our Annual “Youth Exhibit – Fresh Perspectives 2024.” This exhibit features original artwork by artists ages 5 to 25. Explore a wide variety of art styles, each showing the unique view of its creator. From young beginners to emerging talents, each artist freely picks their subject and artistic medium.

Fresh Perspectives will run daily from August 24 to September 10, and will coincide with our 2024 Youth Artist in Residence Exhibit.  Come down and support Vernon’s young creatives.

This unique gallery showcases small artworks, with big impact, inviting you to appreciate the skill of creating detailed art on a tiny scale. Join us in celebrating the art of the miniature and discover how big things truly can come in small packages.

“Visualizing the Elements” invites you to explore the elements through artists’ interpretations of earth, air, water and fire. From the grounding energy of the earth to the freedom of the air, the strength of a blazing fire, and the calm of a flowing river, each piece acts as a doorway to experience the elemental forces shaping our world and our experiences within it. This exhibit offers more than a visual journey; it extends an invitation to feel, reflect, and deeply connect with the elements through various artistic mediums.

Experience the creativity and talent of VCAC’s instructors at the “VCAC Instructor Showcase!” This Exhibit is a vibrant tribute to the artistic prowess of our community, celebrating the diverse talents of VCAC’s Instructors. Explore their boundless creativity, from paint to paper, clay to glass, and everything in between. Don’t miss this showcase that invites you to celebrate the rich tapestry of skills and passions at the VCAC.

Join us for the Opening Reception on April 9th from 6 pm to 8 pm! This is a great opportunity to mingle, meet the talented artists, and immerse yourself in the beauty of art. We invite you to enjoy a wonderful evening filled with creativity and inspiration. We look forward to seeing you there!

Landscapes, whether real or imagined, encourage us to take a moment to explore, and experience new worlds. For this exhibit, local artists were tasked to draw inspiration from the world around them and translate it with their own unique vision and artistic style.

Join us this March and venture into familiar and unfamiliar territory and unique landscapes at the Vernon Community Arts Centre Gallery. Participating artists are all members of the Arts Council of the North Okanagan, the not-for-profit society that runs the VCAC.

Exhibit is open to the public daily, March 1 to April 2, 2024.

Altered Realities, Abstracted Creations” invites you to explore the the beauty of ambiguity through abstract and representational art. This exhibit features a range of paintings, sculptures, and prints from Okanagan artists, and members of the Arts Council of the North Okanagan.

This exhibit runs February 2 to 25 at the Vernon Community Arts Centre.

Visitors are welcome to see the show at no charge. Donations accepted for those that wish to support Vernon Community Arts.
