COVID-19 Update: May 27, 2020
The Vernon Community Arts Centre will reopen June 1st with reduced hours and social distancing measures in place. Building hours are 9:30-4:30. The building will be closed daily from 12:30-1:30 for sanitization.
In the first phase of opening we will have limited and controlled access to the building. At this time there will be no access to drop-in services in any of the studios. For everyone’s safety we have limited the number of students attending classes and the number of people in the building and in each studio. The coffee area and the kitchen area will be closed. We will reinforce new hygiene and safety protocols and will increase the frequency of cleaning. If you have work to pick up or pottery to glaze, please contact the front desk after June 1st to arrange an appointment.
Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19, or if you are feeling unwell, please do not enter the building. We are taking safety protocols very seriously and respecting all guidelines set out by WorkSafe BC. Thanks to you all for your cooperation and understanding. We are doing our best to protect everyone. The safety of everyone using the facility is our highest priority.
