Instructor: Emily Fraser Join us for a fun and relaxed fibre art workshop perfect for families! Create one-of-a-kind landscapes, abstract pieces, or florals using fabric and fibres. Learn how to turn fabric scraps into stunning works of art, with step-by-step guidance throughout the process. You’ll use second-hand wool, scarves, ties, reclaimed sari silk, thread, and roving to create beautiful abstract or landscape designs in your favourite colours.

This workshop is designed for a child and adult to enjoy together, and is open to everyone aged 5 and up. Please bring fabric scissors if you have them.

The price is per person and includes all the tools and materials you’ll need.

Instructor: Quinn Vienneau In this 3-week photography course, students will learn the basics of composition, lighting, and focus. No experience is necessary. The course also includes a brief overview of the history of film and film cameras that came before the digital cameras available today. Upon completion, students will receive a matted 5×7 print of their best photo. The last 20 minutes of each class will be spent outdoors, so please dress appropriately.

Each student must bring an electronic device capable of taking and sharing photos (smartphone, tablet, iPad, or a digital point-and-shoot camera). SLR cameras are not allowed for this beginner course. The price includes all other materials.

Pro-D Camps are designed to give youth the opportunity to explore a variety of arts activities. Projects will include painting, drawing, sculpture, fibre art, printmaking, collage, and mixed media.  Lunch is supervised. Participants need to bring a lunch, drinks, and snacks and should wear art appropriate clothing.

Kids get creative in our week-long Spring Break Art Camps. Camps are designed to give children the opportunity to explore a variety of arts projects, including painting, drawing, sculpture, fibre art, printmaking, collage, and mixed media. They will learn about composition, drawing, shading, colouring, & painting techniques and how to apply them to their own creations. Participants need to bring a lunch, drinks, and snacks and wear art appropriate clothing (it will get messy).
