Learn new ways to combine wheel-thrown pieces and hand-building techniques in this 4-class workshop. Working one on one with the instructor and through group demonstrations, students will work to construct an altered vessel or pitcher. Intended for VCAC clay studio members, students must have previous wheel experience and be able to confidently centre 2lb of clay and throw basic forms. There is no glaze class included in this course. Qualified members can use drop-ins to glaze their pieces. Non-members are not permitted to glaze fire their pieces in the VCAC community kiln. Bring your own tools, and a clear plastic recycling bag. Clay must be purchased at VCAC.
