Instructor: Cathy Toll

Join Cathy for a fun and interactive workshop where you’ll learn to create a variety of texture tools for clay work. You’ll discover how to make stamps, rollers, spheres, and more, designing your own tools using carving and other techniques. Experiment with different shapes and patterns to achieve the desired textures and explore combinations of “innies and outies” (concave and convex) for dynamic and original designs. Whether you’re just finishing your first clay class or you’re an experienced potter, this workshop will enhance your creative skills and add unique elements to your hand-built or wheel-thrown pieces.

Students should have previous clay experience but do not need to be a VCAC clay studio member. Pieces will be fired for you and ready for pick-up approx. 2 weeks after class.

Price includes all materials. All participants must be 17 year or older.
