Cyanotype’s enduring allure lies in its capacity to turn everyday items into enduring art, inspiring exploration and creativity for all participants. Everyone over the age of 8 is welcome.

Cyanotype, discovered by Sir John Herschel in 1842, is a pioneering sun-printing technique, famed for its vivid Prussian blue colour. Widely utilized into the 20th century for reproducing documents and maps, it earned the term “blueprint.” Field biologists like Anna Atkins employed it for recording specimens in “photograms.”
