Have you ever been mesmerized by the tactile, sculptural quality of embossed paper? Learn how to create your own embossed design with a blind (without ink) embossing method which involves pressing deep textures into paper. This leads to subtle and dynamic prints which change with the angle of light and the position of the viewer. You will learn how to carve your design into a traditional lino block and how to print / emboss using a printing press. Other ways of embossing, involving assorted items and textured paper, will also be explored. Discover a world of texture and shadow that can lead you along exciting new printmaking paths.

This workshop will qualify members to use our printmaking studio on a drop-in basis.
