Teapot Workshop

Shinaid McGillivray

Teapot Workshop

Level: Intermediate

The design of a great teapot relies on balancing both the creative and logical passages of the brain. One must successfully create four diverse, well-functioning, and aesthetically harmonized attachments; a vessel, handle, lid and spout. In this class we will research aesthetic design and mechanics of a teapot, throw and construct our teapots, and finally glaze them. Bring your tools, aprons, and creativity; let’s make teapots. This is an intermediate class for those with previous wheel throwing experience. Price includes 1 bag of Navajo clay.
