Update: July 3, 2020
The Vernon Community Arts Centre is open and operating at reduced hours: Monday to Wednesday, 9:30am – 9:00pm, and Thursday to Saturday, 9:30am – 4:30pm. Please note we close for sanitization between 12:30-1:30 daily.
In this second phase of opening we continue to limit and control access to the building and have measures in place to ensure social distancing. Our studio drop-in program resumes June 29 by appointment only. We have reinforced new hygiene and safety protocols and increased frequency of cleaning. The coffee area and kitchen remain closed. If you have art work to pick up or drop off for an exhibit, please call to arrange an appointment.
If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of Covid-19, please do not enter the building. The safety of everyone using the facility is our highest priority. We take these protocols very seriously and respect all guidelines set out by WorkSafe BC. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we navigate these interesting times.
The Arts Centre is a community based facility focusing on arts education for people of all ages and abilities. The Centre is operated by the Arts Council of the North Okanagan, a non-profit organization and registered charity.
We offer a variety of Classes, Camps and Workshops for beginner, intermediate and professional artists and also provide studio Drop-in Sessions, allowing individuals access to specialized tools and equipment and space to work on their own projects. Our Joining Hands program provides adults living with diverse abilities the opportunity to participate in artistic activities while interacting and collaborating in a social setting. Throughout the year we host a number of community Events and our Centre Gallery and Art Shop showcase the work of local artists. A wide selection of art supplies is also available to ensure our students and visiting artists have access to everything they need.
Visit us today to see all we have to offer! We’re located in the beautiful Polson Park with plenty free parking! Cyclists will find us right on a primary bike path and will love the small art items that fit into their saddle bags!

Bring in your receipts!
3% Fundraiser supports the Arts Centre!
Nature’s Fare offers an amazing program to non-profit organizations in the community. With every purchase made at any of the Nature’s Fare locations, the Arts Centre will receive 3% of the pretax totals submitted. The public can save their receipts and submit them to the Arts Centre at any time, which will help the Arts Centre and the Arts Council with some much needed funding. It’s just that easy!
To all those who have brought in your receipts to date, we greatly appreciate your efforts and support. Thank you!
If you have any questions about the program, please contact Nancy Vince at email@example.com or 250-541-0028.
